Last weekend here in Dublin the annual staging of the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition took place in the RDS and Europe Today was there at the invitation of The European Commission whose participation this year focused on Food Research
This week’s programme features interviews from some of the people we met on the day we were there including this years overall winners Ian O Sullivan and Eimear Murphy from Kanturk, Co. Cork
We also spoke to Barbara Nolan, Director of the European Commission Representation in Ireland.
We talked to previous winners from 2013 Emer Hickey, Ciara Judge and Sophie Healy-Thow who went on to win The European Contest for Young Scientists and the Google Science Fair.
Alicia O Rourke, Research Liaison Officer, European Commission Representation in Ireland and CEO Cronin McNamara of local Dublin company Creme Global who were demonstrating a fun game for students to test their knowledge of nutrition at the event were also among those who gave their time and patience to Europe Today
